In order to increase concrete results European partners will provide active market support to sustainable West African suppliers. More than 200 potentially interested European tour operators will be personally contacted and informed about West African local partners and quality products.
Matchmaking
Often tour operators dealing with source markets and local providers of sustainable products do not share a common language. West African Travel Market uses professional matchmakers to link up both parties and to provide assistance up to the moment the business contract is signed. Specialised matchmakers are assigned to different target markets and often maintain personal contact with both suppliers and tour operators.
Telephone marketing
Taking an active approach leads to better results. Tour operators are contacted on a regular basis in order to verify their actual or future interest in West Africa. Thanks to existing personal contacts, based on earlier marketing activities, West African Travel Market is able to reach a fast and serious response from the tour operators.
European fairs
West African sustainable products, who have joined the West African Travel Market are promoted to tour operators, travel media and other professionals at major European fairs, such as ITB - Berlin, Reisepavillon - Hannover, WTM - London and the Dutch Vakantiebeurs. Meetings between tour operators and local West African partners are arranged and facilitated.
